This Privacy Notice explains how Horizon Environmental Services Ltd, trading as Anticimex UK (“we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit our website, enquire about or receive our services, or otherwise interact with us. It applies to individuals we deal with directly and to individual contacts acting on behalf of our business clients and prospects.
We are committed to processing personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect and process the following categories of personal data.
2.1 Website visitors and enquirers
- Identity and contact details you provide through our enquiry or contact forms for example name, email address, telephone number and location/postcode.
- The content of your enquiry, including any description, reason for contact and any images or files you choose to upload.
- Your marketing preferences, including any consent you give to receive marketing communications, and how you heard about us.
- Usage data collected automatically when you use the website for example IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, date and time of visit, time spent on pages, device identifiers and diagnostic data.
2.2 Business clients and prospects (B2B)
Where we deal with business customers and prospective customers, we process personal data relating to the individuals who act as your contacts, representatives or points of contact. This typically includes:
- Names, job titles/roles, business email addresses, business telephone numbers and business postal addresses of your staff and representatives.
- Records of enquiries, quotations, contracts, service visits, correspondence and account management relating to the services we provide.
- Site contact details and access information needed to deliver pest control and related services at your premises.
- Information necessary to administer the commercial relationship, including billing and payment contact details.
We treat this data as relating to individuals in their professional capacity, but it remains personal data and is protected under this notice.
3. How we use your personal data and our lawful bases
Under the UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for processing personal data. We rely on the following bases, depending on the purpose:
- Performance of a contract to provide our services, manage our client relationship, arrange and carry out service visits, and handle billing and payment.
- Legitimate interests to respond to enquiries, manage and develop our business relationships (including B2B account management), maintain records, ensure the security of our website and premises, and carry out limited direct marketing to existing business contacts were lawful. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we balance those interests against your rights and freedoms.
- Consent where you have opted in to receive marketing communications, and for non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation where we must process data to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, including health and safety and record-keeping duties.
We use personal data to respond to and manage enquiries; provide, maintain and improve our services; manage accounts and contracts; contact you about your enquiry, quotation or service; send service-related communications; send marketing communications where you have not opted out or where we are otherwise permitted to; administer, protect and improve our website; and comply with our legal obligations.

7. International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the UK for example because a service provider or group company is located abroad – we take steps to ensure it is protected to a standard consistent with UK data protection law, using appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum where required.

8. How long we keep your personal data
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy any legal, accounting, regulatory or reporting requirements, and to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. Usage data is generally retained for a shorter period unless needed for security, functionality or legal reasons.
We generally retain personal data for no longer than is necessary for the purposes described in this notice, and in most cases for a maximum of six years, reflecting the limitation period for potential legal claims. Some records may be kept for shorter or longer periods where required by law or a specific business need.

13. Children’s privacy
